MC’s Most Iconic Film Looks
by SaraQuite a few big time fashion trends have stemmed from leading ladies’ roles in movies. We were just talking about Audrey Hepburn and her LBD in Breakfast at Tiffany’s; Diane Keaton’s menswear debut as Annie Hall; Katherine Hepburn defying all popular culture and showing pants could be feminine… the list goes on and on.
There were also those one-time ensembles that were so “iconic” that while they didn’t make it to mass production, they are forever seared in cinema (and wardrobe) greatness. Marie Claire decided to put together a list honoring those fashion leaders – and the list includes everything from the rebellious Scarlett O’Hara’s dress-of-drapes to Alex Owen’s off-the-shoulder grey dancin’ sweatshirt.
Take a trip down movie memory lane and marvel in the fabulous costume designer choices. My personal favorite? Cher from Clueless – gotta love those knee socks and plaid miniskirts!
