It’s time for another entertaining class with Southern Protocol, Stems and Canape! On the schedule for next Wednesday, June 16th? How to throw the best warm-weather fete in town.

Summer gatherings are the best gatherings, with fresh food, light drinks, and a general jovial air because it’s finally everyone’s favorite season! We’ll show you how to be the premiere summer hostess, whether you’re planning an adults-only dinner with a funky twist, or entertaining with children for July 4th.

As always, the hour and a half class will include wine, snacks and a take-home folder, as well as lessons on how to budget and prepare, tablescapes, tips and tricks in set-up, flower arranging, in-season flowers, recipe examples, and a short food demonstration. Whew! What a jam packed class perfect for you and a few friends.

This entire weekend, in our Mommy reverence frame of mind here at Southern Protocol, should be completely dedicated to the best woman you know. And we know all you SP readers are all about some pampering, so what better way to combine the two than with a day of makeovers at the super cute Cynthia Rowley store on King Street?

Our fabulous SP readers are the main target for this day of pampering and fun, so be sure to pop in with your mom! Or with friends and family! Either way it’s a great event you won’t want to miss.

Who is twitching with excitement about the weather this weekend? Me! Me! It’s only 10:30 and the sun is shining, the temperature is at a breezy 70 degrees, and the good times are stickin’ around all weekend.

And then, come Monday, it’s time to get down to business. Southern Protocol is taking next week as a “Spring Break”…a deceitful term that would have you thinking we’re off lounging on the sand all day…we wish! We’ll actually be right in the middle of renovating our office – hello, organization and a few facelifts!

So if the blog seems a little slow, or it takes us a few days to get back to you via email or phone call, kindly give us some wiggle room. We’ll get back to you, our fabulous Southern fashionistas, as soon as we can! And when it’s all said and done, you’re all welcome to come over and gossip with a drink or two in our updated abodes.

Also – deepest apologies for the lack of pictures these past few days…a little glitch we’re trying to fix! I’m super bummed because I had the best one for this post: one of those vintage pictures with a woman thinking “I dreamed my whole house was clean!”

You’ve had your entertaining break from the holidays, now it’s time to get ready for spring festivities! The first of our two Spring Entertaining classes will focus on early spring soirees, including Easter, Passover and general “it’s finally getting warm again, let’s have a party” parties.
