La Mer Watches

I’ve never really been a watch person. I don’t generally like the shape and clunkiness of watches, not to mention if I want to know the time I’ll just whip out my cell phone.
But that all changed a little over a year ago when I was at the LA apparel mart with a friend and stumbled across La Mer; a company that has since boomed into exposure and popularity due to its trendy wrap around watches. I immediately loved them because they looked more like bracelets than watches! (and I still use them as mainly a bracelet… every time I have mine on, people ask me what time it is, and I still pull out my phone to look…)
They come in a huge variety of colors and styles, and some even have metal hardware as an added bonus. They’ve been showing up everywhere from US Weekly to InStyle to Vogue, and I always get at least a few compliments every time I accessorize with mine. They actually have other watch designs, too, I’m just partial to the wrap around.
I have yet to spot them at any boutiques in Charleston, but one of my favorite boutiques in Athens, Georgia – Flirt Fashions - always has them in stock.
